Santa Fe Brunch Cooking Class

In-Person Cooking Class: Saturday, September 14 10am - 12:30pm

 

Join us for an in-person brunch cooking class and learn how to make flavorful recipes that highlight peak summer ingredients. Class will be taught by Co-op instructor, Carl Reisman! Carl will be sharing tips and tricks that he's learned over the years as a professional cook, plus memories from our old Co-op days.

 

The menu includes:

  • Homemade Corn Masa Tortillas
  • Local Scrambled Eggs with Salsa Roja and Pico de Gallo
  • Fresh Local Watermelon Juice
  • Pickled Vegetables
  • Guacamole and Avocado Crema
  • Pinto and Black Beans
  • Hazelnut Mexican Wedding Cookies

About Instructor: Carl Reisman

 

Carl Reisman cooked professionally in New Orleans, Oregon, Iowa, and in Champaign-Urbana including work as the Deli and Bakery Manager at New Pioneer Coop in Iowa City, and Strawberry Fields in both Champaign and Urbana. He has taught baking and vegetarian cooking classes for Common Ground. He is the former News Gazette restaurant critic and Guest Chef in Residence on WILL AM Focus 580.
