Co+op Basics: Southwest Mac & Cheese

There's nothing better than a box of mac & cheese. It's so comforting and delicious on its own, but also serves as a great base for a hearty and nutritious meal! We've created a basics recipe using Field Day macaroni & cheese, but added sweet corn, black beans, and salsa to bulk it up and provide a special version of the classic mac. Ingredients
Field Day macaroni & cheese
1 box
Kilgus whole milk
1/4 cup
Tillamook butter
2 tablespoons
Wild Harvest black beans, rinsed and drained
1 cup
Field Day sweet corn, drained
1 cup
Field Day salsa
1 cup

Prep time: 2 minutes

Cook time: 10 minutes

  1. Prepare macaroni and cheese according to box directions.
  2. Drain and rinse the black beans and drain the corn. Heat a large skillet over medium heat, and heat the beans and corn until they are hot. 
  3. When the mac & cheese is prepared, add the corn and black beans and mix well. Add the salsa and mix well. Serve & enjoy!
