Ravioli Cooking Class

Virtual Class - Saturday, November 9th from 3-5pm
Kit Pick Up - Friday, November 8th from 4-6pm

 

Long-time CGFC instructor, Anna Barnes is returning to teach how to make homemade raviolis. The menu features raviolis filled with local butternut and ricotta filling in a sage brown butter sauce. Tune in for the Zoom live class and cook along in your kitchen using the pre-portioned meal kit and enjoy a delicious dinner by the end of class. Plus, all proceeds from this class will benefit local soup kitchen, Jubilee Cafe

 

Tune in to the virtual Zoom cooking class on Saturday, November 9th from 3-5pm. Class kit will be available for pick up on Friday, November 8th from 4-6pm in the Flatlander Classroom.

 

About Jubilee Cafe:

Jubilee Cafe is a community feeding program of Community United Church of Christ adjacent to the University of Illinois campus in Champaign. Jubilee provides a free hot meal to anyone in need on Mondays from 5 to 6:30 pm. Since October 2017, Jubilee has provided meals to members of our community.

 

About the instructor:

Anna Barnes has taught CGFC cooking classes since before there was a Flatlander teaching kitchen and is a former education coordinator for the coop. She helped coordinate Prairieland CSA for 18 years and authored the food column, Local 365, for Smile Politely. Since 2018, she has served as the kitchen manager for Jubilee Cafe.
