Chinese Cooking Class & Meal Kit
Learn to cook traditional Chinese dishes that utilize peak summer produce from our local farms. Huan, Co-op owner and instructor, will walk you through the whole process of making tomato egg drop soup, Sichuan-style blistered green beans, smashed cucumber salad, fish-fragrant eggplant, and white rice. Attendees will be able to choose between local ground pork or shiitake mushrooms and tofu. The $30 Meal Kit is portioned for two and includes all ingredients needed to cook these dishes for dinner. The recipes for this class are gluten-free with an option for meat or vegetarian. A few spices and seasonings for this meal kit will be sourced from Fresh International Market in Champaign.
Pre-order the Chinese Meal Kit to pick up in-store Friday, August 27th, 4-6pm or Saturday, August 28th 9-11am and then tune in to the virtual Zoom cooking class on Sunday, August 29th at 4-5:30pm. Once you submit the completed pre-order form, you will be directed to PayPal to complete your payment. We'll send you a confirmation email and email reminders about the upcoming pick-up date with the Zoom class link. Meal kits are not available for pick up outside of the designated pick-up times.
