About me: I grew up in Urbana, but only found my way to the Co-op upon my return for graduate school back in August of 2005. I am making up for lost time, diving in headfirst as the outreach coordinator! I am extremely interested in combining my background in Art Education with my passion for Food Education. As well as being a new mom with a pressing desire to make sure my family eats well, I think the access to good food, good farmers, and sound information about where our food comes from should be available to the masses. Besides good food, I enjoy all outdoor activities, working on screenprints with my husband, and walking our dog!

What I love about the co-op: The ability to believe in what I buy to eat and where I buy it. I like eating seasonally, learning to really appreciate when citrus comes around and the smell of fresh basil. I hope that working for, advocating, and financially supporting Common Ground I can make a larger statement about how we use the world's resources. The Co-op breathes with the spirit of its members and the larger desire to make our immediate community better and stand for a more informed world.

Favorite co-op foods: Anything local, but especially the kale, basil, garlic, and tomatoes from Blue Moon.
